Nicaragua
Since 2006 more than 50 Libraries have been built or supported. We have a goal of helping 150 more Libraries in Nicaragua.
India
In 2003, the first model school library assisted by Trees for Life was established in Allahabad, India at Umrao Singh Memorial School. It has grown into a book bank that provides educational materials to many other schools in the Uttar Pradesh region. Additionally, Books for Life International is working with partner organizations to send books to tribal schools in Bangalore, provide mobile libraries in New Delhi and start model libraries in Bombay.
Books for Life International works primarily throughout the marginalized areas of the developing world. Your unique gift of a school library book will help a child become educated, empowering her to lift herself out of poverty.
