Donating Trees

children holding trees to plant- A single apple tree can live for more than forty years and provide more than 10,000 pounds of food.

- A mature healthy tree absorbs about 13 pounds of carbon annually and releases enough oxygen into the atmosphere to support 2 human beings.

- Trees improve water quality by preventing runoff and erosion. This allows more recharging of the ground water supply.

- The edible leaves of the moringa tree have 7 times the vitamin C of oranges, 4 times the vitamin A of carrots, 4 times the calcium of milk, and 2 times the protein of yogurt.

The benefits of trees in our world is extensive, and in the developing world, planting trees can improve the life of a person, a family or an entire community.

Since the early 80s, Trees for Life has been planting trees in developing nations, helping impoverished people to help themselves. Our mission is to create hope through a movement in which people join hands to break the cycle of poverty and hunger and care for our earth.

You can help our work by making a donation to plant trees.

More About Our Work

Trees for Life began planting fruit trees in India. But our work has also expanded to include educating children, creating libraries, providing books and educational materials to kids, and promoting disseminating knowledge about traditional knowledge and scientific studies of trees and plants for the benefit of humanity.

Trees for Life has worked or is working in the following locations:

Africa   Asia

Latin America / Carribean   North America / Europe

You can help us continue our work by donating trees.

By donating trees, you will be helping people in developing countries grow and care for their own fruit and forest trees. These trees not only provide a self-renewing source of food for hungry people, but also give fuel, building supplies, shade, and habitat for animals. They also reduce erosion, clean the air, promote better rainfall, and generally help protect our environment.

Each person who learns to grow and care for their own trees pledges to share seeds with two others and help them to grow their own trees. As each one teaches two, the movement spreads and multiplies.

In this way, helping one person grow a life-giving tree can lead to trees giving life, nourishment, and a better environment to an entire community! It’s a gift that grows.

To donate trees, follow the simple 2-part process to make your donation. If you are donating trees in honor of a special event, you may also create a beautiful 8 1/2 x 11″ gift card to honor the occasion.
